"First time in Hood River and definitely made it memorable. The first race was extremely tough with very light wind; I rode the Fireball 1070, which matched the speed of the river perfectly. Second race the wind turned on, we had excellent bumps. I can't remember when I have been in so much pain pumping 1.5 km to the finish, collapsing across the line." First overall for Kai Thompson, with Gabriella Bella on the open SUP podium.
