"Triple Crown, 2nd overall, 2nd in the world, just behind the flow master who pushes me every day, KD. This Hawaiian race season brought huge improvements and consistency for me. I made the podium in three out of four races, with standout performances in the channels. The biggest achievement was Molokai to Oahu, going sub two hours, 1:58, and cutting a massive 23 minutes from last year."
Kai lived on Maui for the months before the races, logging miles with Gabriella Bella, KD, Guido Ferrer and Payce Duryea, on foils that were still under wraps: "AXIS Foils for creating something that will blow people's minds with early lift and insane speed and carry. Can't wait to share these foils." That was the Tempo.
