Counterfeit Warning

AXIS has discovered counterfeit products being marketed as AXIS equipment, primarily produced by unauthorized manufacturers in China and sold through online marketplaces and fake direct-to-consumer websites.

Known fake AXIS websites

The following websites are not AXIS and have no connection to us. They are fraudulent clones of our official store, built from copied AXIS content and imagery, offering our products at discounts of around 65%, and collecting login, address, and credit card details:

These sites even display our genuine support email address to appear legitimate. If you entered payment details on any of these sites, contact your card issuer immediately and treat the card as compromised. We would also appreciate a report to the address below.

Our only official webstores are axisfoils.com and, for Europe, the store linked from it. If a website's address is anything else, it is not us, whatever it looks like.

Counterfeits on Alibaba and AliExpress

Listings on Alibaba, AliExpress, and similar marketplaces offering "AXIS" hydrofoils, wings, masts, or fuselages, including storefronts using AXIS model names such as Surge, Spitfire, Fireball, ART, and PNG, are not made by AXIS and are not authorized by AXIS. AXIS does not authorize any manufacturing through third-party factories in China or sales through direct-to-consumer marketplace channels.

How to spot a fake

Price. Genuine AXIS products are almost never discounted 50 to 70%. A sitewide discount of that size is the single clearest sign of a scam.
Web address. Check the domain carefully. Lookalikes add words like "shop" or "store" to our name.
Seller. If it is not axisfoils.com or a dealer on our official dealer list, do not buy.
Contact us first. If you are unsure whether a product, website, or seller is genuine, email us before buying and we will confirm.

Safety

Counterfeit foil components present serious safety risks. They are not designed, engineered, tested, or quality-controlled by AXIS. A hydrofoil carries a rider at speed over open water: a counterfeit wing, mast, or fuselage can fail without warning, causing serious injury. Counterfeit purchases may also be seized by customs and carry no warranty or support of any kind.

Our trademarks and enforcement

AXIS^® is a registered trademark of AXIS Composites LLC (U.S. Reg. No. 8,227,305), with further registrations and pending applications in the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan, and elsewhere. Our designs are protected by registered designs and pending patents in multiple jurisdictions. We actively enforce these rights: we pursue takedowns of fraudulent websites and marketplace listings, work with customs authorities, and take legal action against counterfeit manufacturers and distributors.
