World record: Nicolas Iten pumps 20.13 km in one hour
New world record. There are a bunch of flat-water freaks battling it out for the most distance covered in an hour of pumping. Using an unreleased beast from AXIS, Nicolas Iten pumped his way to a new world record, covering over 20 km in an hour and averaging a mind-melting 20.13 km/h. What a machine.
The unreleased beast was the Fireball 1750, which went on sale that October. During the run Nicolas averaged a heart rate of 173 beats per minute with a peak of 182; the marathon world record holder is estimated to average 174. The following spring he pushed his long-distance record to 78 km.
