Frank Dart and Mini Dart

Meet the DART, a shorter, more playful SUP suited to a broad variety of conditions and ability levels, and the MINI DART, a new take on the mid-length.

Dart

The main goal was to keep the design as compact as possible while maintaining board speed and ease of take-off: a playful board that performs in a variety of conditions and is easy to travel with. Thanks to its rocker line and bottom contours, the board accelerates effortlessly, making take-off easy considering its dimensions.

Stability mattered too. Shorter boards tend to be less stable, so the bottom is flatter in the standing area and tail, and the tail and overall width are increased. With its stubbier design the Dart feels incredibly nimble while flying, allowing more radical carves and better foil control, and it fits better into tighter bumps when downwinding and into the wave pocket when surfing. The added width let us fit a concave deck for a more locked-in feel.

You will find some of the Mako's features here too: the vertical rails and extra tail rocker for stability, and the displacement hull in the nose for glide and acceleration. The Dart is tailored to short-period bumps and wave riding, and it also works very well as a light-wind wing or parawing board. Compact and versatile, it is the perfect travel board.

Mini Dart

Designed with parawinging in mind, the Mini Dart brings a lot to your wing and prone game as well. Its fast rocker line makes take-offs effortless even in marginal conditions. The bottom changes from a displacement hull in the nose to flat through the mid-section and tail, for great acceleration, release and rebound off the surface; like the Dart, the wider tail improves stability and offers a wider planing surface to generate speed.

The added length and extra volume up front let you pump the board on the water to build forward momentum without burying the nose, a crucial step for a parawing take-off and a help paddling out and catching waves on the prone. A concave deck adds responsiveness and a locked-in feel, inspiring confidence in big carves and at high speed. Wing, parawing or prone, the Mini Dart does it all.
