The AXIS Foil Drive board range
When we started designing dedicated AXIS Foil Drive boards with Foil Drive's own specialists, we knew the outcome would be spectacular. Dominic Hoskyns and Jamie Wise from Foil Drive, together with Adrian Roper from AXIS, have created the Foil Drive board in three sizes, addressing all levels, conditions and styles of riding.
The AXIS Foil Drive boards are based on a longer, narrower shape, with a very flat section in the rocker to let the Foil Drive Gen2 fit nicely. They run with less drag than a shorter, wider board and make it very easy to get up on foil. They have been extensively tested for a solid signal through the board, so there are no cut-outs between the Foil Drive remote and the controller.
We wanted them to be full carbon, like the rest of the AXIS foilboards: carbon top and bottom with a PVC sandwich on both sides, a layup that makes a stiff board with a direct connection to the foil while staying light and strong. To maximise compatibility with every foil and riding style, we added the longest mast tracks on the market, 42 cm (16.5"). And we made a custom bag that hugs the board, with the extra depth to keep it connected to the Foil Drive system and still protected.
Three sizes
Designed around the Foil Drive Gen2, these boards also work great as prone boards and prone downwind boards for advanced riders who have added downwind to their routine.
